The short version
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and UK consumer law always apply.
- Change your mind within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it, less a share for the days you've already had.
- You can cancel a plan at any time. It runs until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If we charge you by mistake or the service fails, we'll put it right.
This summary is here to help you find your way. The full text below is what applies.
1.Your rights under consumer law
This policy adds to your rights under consumer law. It doesn't replace or limit them.
In Australia, our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. If there's a major failure, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. If a failure isn't major, we'll fix it in a reasonable time, and if we don't, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused portion.
In the UK, if we don't provide the services with reasonable care and skill, you can ask us to put things right or, if we can't, get some or all of your money back.
2.Changing your mind in the first 14 days
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a plan or a game server, we'll refund that payment, less a proportionate amount for the days you had the service.
This applies wherever you live. If you're a consumer in the UK, it's how we honour your legal right to cancel: by using the services within those 14 days, you've asked us to start straight away, so we deduct a proportionate amount for the days you had the service.
To cancel, use the dashboard, or email support@wattlecloud.com and tell us clearly that you're cancelling.
3.Monthly plans and game servers
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan or game server stays active until the end of the billing period you've paid for, and then stops renewing.
- Apart from the first 14 days, we don't refund part of a billing period if you change your mind or stop using the services.
- If you move to a cheaper plan, the change applies from your next billing period.
4.When something goes wrong on our side
- If we bill you incorrectly, we'll refund the amount we got wrong.
- If an outage or fault on our side stops your workloads from running, tell us. We'll look at what happened and, where it's fair, give you a credit or refund for the time affected. This is on top of your rights under consumer law.
- If we stop offering a service you've paid for, or close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund what you've prepaid for the time after it stops.
- If we close your account because you seriously broke our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, we don't refund the current billing period, except where the law requires us to.
5.How to ask for a refund
Email support@wattlecloud.com from your account's email address. Tell us which payment or invoice it's about, and what happened. We'll let you know whether we can refund you and, if we can't, why not.
6.How refunds are paid
We refund to the payment method you used, in the currency you paid, within 14 days of agreeing to the refund. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
We can't refund fees your bank charges, or differences caused by exchange rates.
7.Disputed payments
If you don't recognise a charge or think it's wrong, please contact us before you dispute it with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster, and a bank dispute can take weeks.
Disputing a charge doesn't cancel your plan. To stop future charges, cancel in the dashboard.
