The short version

  • Don't use Wattle Cloud for anything illegal, harmful or abusive.
  • Don't attack or overload our platform or anyone else's, and don't try to reach other customers' data.
  • If you host things for other people, such as client sites or a game community, you're responsible for what happens there.
  • Report abuse to support@wattlecloud.com. We act on every report, and we may remove content or suspend services to stop harm.

This summary is here to help you find your way. The full text below is what applies.

1.About this policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses our services, including people you invite to your workspaces and anyone using what you host with us.

It covers everything you run or store with us: websites, apps, Discord bots, databases, game servers, files and the traffic they send.

2.Illegal and harmful content

Don't use the services to host, store, share or link to:

  • child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises children
  • content that promotes, supports or gives instructions for terrorism or violent extremism, or abhorrent violent material
  • content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, including pirated software, games, films and music
  • intimate images of a person shared without their consent, including fake or altered ones
  • personal information about someone published to harass or harm them, such as doxxing
  • threats, harassment, or content that incites violence or hatred against people because of who they are
  • scams, phishing and fraud, including fake shops, fake sign-in pages and pretending to be another person or organisation
  • malware, ransomware, spyware, or tools built to attack systems you don't own
  • the sale of illegal goods or services, such as illegal drugs, weapons or stolen data
  • anything else that's illegal in Australia, in the UK, or where you operate

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities.

As an Australian hosting service, we follow the Online Safety Act 2021 and the industry codes and standards registered under it. You must follow Australian laws about online content too, wherever your users are.

3.Security and network abuse

Don't:

  • scan, probe or test the security of any system without its owner's permission, including ours, except as described in Security research
  • attack other systems, or take part in or sell denial-of-service attacks
  • run botnets, command-and-control servers, or open proxies or mail relays that others can abuse
  • send spam, send bulk email that breaks anti-spam laws such as Australia's Spam Act 2003 or the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or disguise where your email comes from
  • try to break out of your sandbox, get around network separation, or access other customers' workloads or data
  • get around our limits, billing or a suspension, for example by opening extra accounts
  • mine cryptocurrency
  • use the services in a way designed to overload them or harm other customers

4.Discord bots

  • Follow Discord's Terms of Service, Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy.
  • Don't run self-bots that automate a user account, or bots built to spam, raid or flood servers.
  • Don't collect or keep people's messages or personal information without the permission Discord's rules require.

5.Game servers

  • Follow the game publisher's terms, such as the Minecraft EULA and Mojang's usage guidelines.
  • Don't run pirated or cracked copies of games, mods or plugins.
  • Don't use your server to attack other servers or players, or to run cheats for games you don't control.
  • Don't run gambling, such as games of chance played for money or for items with real-world value, unless you hold any licence the law requires.
  • Moderate your community. If young people play on your server, take extra care to keep it safe.

6.Scripts and AI agents

Tools that act for you, such as scripts that use our API or AI agents that use our MCP server, must follow this policy too. You're responsible for what they do in your account.

Don't use automated tools to get around this policy, for example by spreading activity across accounts.

7.Hosting for others

If you host websites, apps, bots or game servers for clients or a community, make sure they follow this policy too. You're responsible for how they use the services.

If your service lets people share content with each other, you're responsible for meeting the laws that apply to it, such as Australia's Online Safety Act 2021 and the UK's Online Safety Act 2023. That includes giving your users a way to report problems to you.

8.Reporting abuse

Use our report form, which needs no account, or email support@wattlecloud.com with “Abuse report” in the subject line. Please include:

  • the address of what you're reporting, such as a web address, IP address or server name
  • what's wrong, and when you saw it
  • any evidence, such as screenshots, logs or email headers
  • for copyright or trademark complaints, the work or mark affected, and confirmation that you own it or are allowed to act for its owner
  • how we can contact you

We review every report. We may pass a report on to our customer so they can respond, but we won't share your contact details without your permission unless the law requires it.

Child abuse material and urgent harm

Don't send us copies of child sexual abuse material. Send us the address where you saw it, and report it to the authorities as well: in Australia, to the eSafety Commissioner or the ACCCE; in the UK, to the Internet Watch Foundation.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 000 in Australia or 999 in the UK.

Online safety in Australia

Our online safety information explains the rules for online content in Australia, what the eSafety Commissioner does, and how to complain to eSafety if you're not happy with how we handled a report.

9.What we do about breaches

When we find or are told about a possible breach of this policy, we may:

  • investigate, which can include looking at the content involved
  • ask you to fix it by a deadline
  • remove content or block access to it
  • limit, suspend or stop workloads
  • close your account. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe other people's rights
  • report illegal activity to the police or other authorities, and keep the information they need

We also use automatic checks to spot abuse, such as cryptocurrency mining, unusual bursts of outgoing traffic, and sites that imitate well-known brands or appear on Google's lists of phishing and malware sites. A check can slow a workload down straight away. Anything a check finds goes to a person, who decides what else to do.

We usually contact you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix things. We act straight away for serious harm, such as child abuse material, malware, phishing or attacks, and whenever the law requires it, including removal notices from Australia's eSafety Commissioner. We report abhorrent violent material to the Australian Federal Police, as the law requires.

If you think we've made a mistake, email support@wattlecloud.com. A person will review the decision and tell you the outcome.

10.Security research

We welcome reports of security problems in our services. Email support@wattlecloud.com, or see our security.txt file.

When you test, use only your own account and workloads. Don't access, change or delete other people's data, don't degrade the services for anyone else, and don't use social engineering. Give us a reasonable time to fix a problem before you share details publicly.

We won't take legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules.

11.Changes to this policy

We update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. If a change significantly affects how you use the services, we'll give you notice as our Terms of Service describe. Changes needed to deal with new kinds of abuse, security threats or the law can take effect straight away.
